Firstly, the most important parameter is that my health has never been better - my diabetes under iron control. This has been due to eating just home cooked food, not eating out or traveling, (I do not ever touch processed food at all - nothing out of a packet if I can help it), as well as getting out for longish walks twice a day, just as an excuse to get out of the house. In fact, nowadays, I am cooking daily and enjoying it tremendously. Secondly, I have spent quality time with my sons, their families, and especially my grandchildren - which would have been impossible if they were going out for work, or attending school, and not working/schooling from home. Of course, it helps that both my sons stay in the same neighbourhood, within 100 metres of each other, and us. Thirdly, the savings have skyrocketed, both due to a bullish market for stocks/gold/alternative assets, a steady market for real estate, and the total lack of any major expense!
