I have a Q2. It is an amazing device, perfect for me and the kind of 
pictures I take.
I have found that "Field" or "Spot" autofocus works best for me. Mostly 
Spot. I never learned to trust its face recognition.

I've never looked at the JPEGs it makes. I shoot DNG and then export 
JPEG from Lightroom as needed. But the JPEG that you posted looks fine 
on my screens.
