This week we start at a pen holding the restaurants dumpster for non-recyclable items: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/recycled+mural+at+dumpster+site.jpg.html At the same restaurant there is this mural on the back of the restaurant: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/Drive+Through.jpg.html What is interesting is that there is no drive thru. This little artwork is on the side of a sweet shop that is a food truck that doesn't move: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/pink+lips.jpg.html This bit of art is on the side of the trash storage for an extremely busy grocery store. For whatever historical reason there isn't another grocery for about 2.5 miles in any direction including a Walmart super center that is 4 kilometers away. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/Texas+Cadillac.jpg.html Over in Bouldin Creek neighborhood they residents do look out for their art: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/giraffes+covid+safe+Bouldin+Creek.jpg.html Last for this week is a bit of art I have admired for maybe 8 years. It is on the side of a convenience store an seems improbable for such a mundane site. Also, this is only half of the artwork: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/seduction+at+the+convenience+store.jpg.html Enjoy the new found freedom as the world slowly reopens safely. Or, a parody of a forest service tag line, only you can prevent Covid 19 spread. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
