Behind Ted in the background stands a photo in a green frame. And it has a wonderful (to me) story behind it. I had posted a photo of a bunch of flowers on our dining-room table and entitled it ''La Table d?Alice''. Ted immediately wrote to me and asked me a favor. Irene had just passed. And he begged me to send him a copy of that bunch which I would be kind enough to entitle ''La Table d?Irene'' as she always loved to have flowers on their table. Not only did I immediately modify the caption, but I had it printed and framed and then expressedly went to Barcelona where I knew he?d be along with the crew. I will ALWAYS remember him crying when I offered him the framed picture. We were in the lift, down from the (nowhere to be found) appartment he had rented, minutes before I left him, forever, to fly back home. HE will never leave me, nor Alice, so long as we live. Here?s the framed pix in the leica boutique where I had it done in Metz - you will immediately see who chose the colour of the frame ? http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Phileica/Playground/La+Table+d_Irene.jpg.html <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Phileica/Playground/La+Table+d_Irene.jpg.html> (sorry for the poor Iphone quality I know) Thanks again Amities Philippe > Le 21 avr. 2020 ? 21:22, David Young <dsy at loganlake.net> a ?crit : > > Jack Knox has written an excellent article on Ted, in today's > Times-Colonist ...
