Truly unfortunate about the hiring. It is almost as bad as when my
daughter graduated in 2009. There are jobs out there, companies are
expanding and hiring. My son in law is at Amazon and they are still
expanding in most areas; the logistics companies are desperate for people.
One of my friends in Atlanta made his fortune and I mean fortune developing
algorithms for the Post Office and UPS to improve the routes drivers took
to increase efficiency and improve fuel economy. All those issues are in
play today. So it is a matter of looking at the stones in the field and
choosing which ones to turn over.

Incidentally, my daughter took a relatively low paying internship with a
non-profit in Boston. This outfit was very interested in development and
sent her to some university with crimson as a color and a square named
after it. Things have worked out very well for her after some poverty
starting out.

I know you have imparted that midwestern stubbornness and drive to survive
droughts, tornados, and pandemics to your son.
