I think you are pushing to much of the wrong subject.   Find something with
more detail that is a little smaller that will tolerate the rapid fall
off.   I have had excellent results using a Voigtlander helical close focus
M to FE adapter.   Maybe rummage in the kitchen and try some shiney objects
in these drawers.
