Flying clubs, managed responsibly, are a great way to reduce the cost of
flying.? AOPA is currently encouraging the creation of new clubs.

But, you are correct, the cost of private flying has escalated. The only
King Airs on the field are owned by a fellow who sold his inherited
company to a conglomerate, and another who owns a string of automobile
dealerships.? There are quite a few Cessnas and Bonanzas, as well as a
charter company with two Dassault Falcons.
