For those who might be in the area of Solvang, CA (just north of Santa
Barbara), I will be having a show of black and white prints at the Elverhoj
Museum from Feb. 16 to April 20.

See http://www.PaulRoark.com/ and http://www.elverhoj.org/index.html .

I'm still using predominantly Leica-M glass, but now on a Sony a7rii that
has had the KoloriVision Ultra Thin cover glass swap. At the Elverhoj I'll
also have a small exhibit of the cameras I've used, including a working
version of the Graflex 4x5 SLR. See
http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/Auto_Graflex. The old Graflex, with a good
enlarging lens substituted for the original optic, made a great macro
photography setup for me when I was a kid. This camera, with it's large
and relatively slow focal plane shutter, was one that resulted in those old
photos of race cars where they are "leaning forward" due to the movement of
the car during the exposure. The camera may have been set to 1/1000 of the
second, but it takes a lot longer than that for the small opening in the
shutter to travel across the 4x5 frame.
