I note that virtually everyone has a hat. I wonder what the incidence of Basal Cell skin cancer is from the hot sun at high altitude? Hump Day Hostel - yes I suspect there is a story behind the name. Walking around the old city, we ran smack bang into the annual Fiestas de Quito festival, which goes on for a week or two, culminating in the first week of December, and which celebrates the founding of Quito in the 16th century.
