Hi Gene,
The Lugger who suggested the deletion of the bars suggested that added 
mystery to the photo as the viewer
had to speculate what the eagle was landing on - some prey for example. Just 
another view.

I think the bars give a better story as you can see that he is coming in
for a landing.  Without the bars, you really don't know why he is in that
configuration.  jmho.
