There are at least 3 issues with lens mount adapters
1) flange register. Distance from mount to film plane. Looking this up on
Wiki, the SL mount has a register of 20mm. Sony E mount (A7 etc family) has
a register of 18mm. From these numbers, an adapter could work
2 & 3) Electrical and mechanical interface for iris control and AF
capability. Zero compatibility. All setting must be done on the lens.
No AF.
On older lenses, this can be manually coordinated. But since SL lenses have
no on-lens aperture control, whatever the lens does at rest is what you must
use it at. F2.8? F16?
Some of these issues have been overcome in other cameras (Hassy lenses fully
coordinated with the Leica S bodies or Canon lenses on Sony bodies) but it
is rare.

The bottom line is that it is possible to put SL lenses on another body, but
don?t hold your breath.

Maybe Leica will make a 50mp SL2?
