Mark.  Are you comparing R lenses with Nikon, canon, etc?  Having shot with 
R and Canon and Nikon, that is not a good comparison.  My R glass far 
outdoes any of my Nikon and Canon glass.  Have you tried the 100/2.8 APO? 
Or the 35-70/4?  A world of difference.
