My high school ag teacher (Snake Pollock) always wrote on the board of his
first year ag classes:

?What is a weed??

After kids named several common aggravations, Pollock would tell them:
?A weed is anything growing where you don?t want it. A rose is a weed if
it?s growing in your bean field.?
