We had delicious local red wines, Sonny. I was amazed at the vineyards which
sometimes seemed almost vertical. The vintner we visited said they have to
get imported labor to do the harvesting - that the native population won?t
do the work for the euro they can offer. Which sounded very familiar to me.
I don?t think the locals here, though, are quite as bitter as the German
gentleman was. He also said the weather has been playing Hobb with the grape
crop.
