Subject: [Leica] IMG: Lily for Ray

I just found out that a very dear and long time friend, Ray Hardy, has
Alzheimer?s. I am sitting here in tears, beyond devastated. Ray is a Luthier
(a violin maker) and a musician of considerable stature and reputation. Ray
has taken care of my cello for years and years, and he has cheerfully put up
with my many quirks. His children and his wife are all professional
musicians with international reputations. His son David is the Principal
Cellist of the National Symphony Orchestra. He plays a cello made by his
Dad. His son Andrew, a Violinist, also plays an instrument made by his Dad,
Ray.

Ray, this Lily, a they say, is going out for you. Thank you for all the
years you kept me and my cello going. I hope you gt to see this picture. It
is sent with prayers and much concern and love for you, your wife Irene, and
your children. May God be with you all on this journey.
