I lived here for a few months when I first moved from New Jersey to Brussels. In the summer, it is a wonderful place, with many bars and ethnic restaurants and shops. There are some vague signs of hipsters moving in, but so far they have been kept in check. The neighbourhood has a short pedestrian street called Rue de la Longue Vie, which contains several African restaurants. I have eated at both Soleil d?Afrique on the left and Cap Africa on the right. I prefer the latter, and that is where I had a delicious dinner of grilled goat and fermented tapioca dough last night: http://www.greatpix.eu/All/Picture-A-Day/i-Sdv4tfR/A Just before I reached the restaurant, this lady approached me and asked to take her picture, just like that: http://www.greatpix.eu/All/Picture-A-Day/i-CvQhmKX/A And after I finished my dinner, I lingered a bit to take in the street life: http://www.greatpix.eu/All/Picture-A-Day/i-sr8656s/A This last image is technically deficient but I like the scene, never mind sharpness.
