Hi Barney,
I can't thank you enough for your post on such an important day as "FATHER's
DAY!"
I KNOW I'M NOT ALONE IN THE CREW who had an incredible father!
He always looked out for me without pampering nor molly coddling from birth,
until I married. Then my wonderful caring wife Irene took over his chores of
looking after his first born child until she passed away.
He taught me about being a caring and polite human being. A Cub Scout and
later a Boy Scout with Honours.
A trooper and an officer in the Royal Canadian Armoured Corp. (R) 4PLDG.
Oh he gave me a smack on the butt when I needed it or words of praise when I
did something cool or attained fine marks in exams.
He encouraged me throughout my photographic career. Oh he'd look at photos
and nearly always say, "You keep at this photography thing and you might go
some place with it!" Thanks Dad! :-)
So Father, you gave me a life like no other with your caring and encouraging
ways in guiding me along the right road of life to success!"
May all the Crew have had a Father of Equal character as I. "HAPPY FATHERS
DAY 2017"
cheers crew!
Dr. Ted Grant O.C.

This is the interior of St. Peter Claver?s Church in Brooklyn, NY. It was
founded in 1920 by my Great Uncle the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Bernard J. Quinn. It
was the first church for Black Catholics in the United States. He also
founded an orphanage for Black Children in Wading River, on Long Island. He
is today a candidate for sainthood. Truly.

I post this picture on Fathers Day as a tribute to all the people in this
world, male and female, who have spent their lives in the vineyard quietly
toiling to nurture and care for rest us. Happy Father?s Day to Uncle Barney
and to the rest of the caregivers in the world!
