I have taken to heart comments that I have received when I was guilty of over-sharpening an image. I try to hold it down and not produce halos. But, I don't see anything wrong with showing objects in their true appearance. Now, I'm not talking about portraits. Since most of your images contain people, then I agree with your choices.
