How ironic that he now accepts a knighthood (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire)! 'Wars' and 'Empires' have gone hand-in hand throughout history. If you want to put an end to war, how about questioning the concept of the Empire? It's disappointing he hasn't done this. I have met Don a couple of times and he is a difficult man to warm to, but this honour is well deserved and long overdue. A great photographer receiving a long overdue award.
