Subject: [Leica] Correct a front-focussing 90 Summicron (Leitz Canada)

Thanks John,

I was wondering about sending him everything, but then thought that
might get expensive! Two things I know for sure:

1. The 90 'cron is badly front-focussing on my M9.

2. My other three Leica lenses (plus a Voigtlander 35/1.2) focus
spot-on wide open on my M9.

So, if I send him all my lenses, he might get the wrong idea and
fiddle with all of them and then charge me for that. But because all
my lenses bar the 90 'cron work fine on my M9, then the simplest
solution seems to be to adjust the 90 'cron so that it focusses well
wide-open on my M9.

Just writing that last sentence, I realise I should make sure to tell
him that I want accuracy wide open to be the priority.

Cheers,

Peter

It may throw your other lenses out.... send him everything

I'm now thinking that perhaps my best course is to send the repair man my M9
and ask if he can adjust the 90 'cron so that it focusses properly on my
camera. Can you see any problem with this route?

Peter
