But the wine we find on the shelves is usually not their produce as it is now used as a generic name for all wines in the area. Alice also had fond memories of the name (and wine) and asked. That's how we know. We nevertheless bought them a couple of their own wine, which we haven't tasted yet as it later travelled for 3500 km in the boot of the camper ... I'll let you know when we open the first bottles :-) Thanks again Amities Philippe 2016-09-30 21:07 GMT+02:00 Robert Baron <robertbaron1 at gmail.com>: > Very nice, Philippe. > > I remember drinking a fair amount of their wine when I was in law school > here in Oklahoma in the sixties but I haven't seen it in a long time. > > --Bob > > On Fri, Sep 30, 2016 at 3:01 AM, Philippe Amard < > photo.philippe.amard at gmail.com> wrote: > > > Located in Northern Portugal Mateu is home to Vila Mateus which belongs > to > > an excellent wine producer and old aristocratic family. > > > > Here's a glimpse of the place (6 postcards in all). > > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Phileica/Portugal-2016/ > > 2016-03-Mateus-Vila+Mateus-2905.jpg.html > > Trying to remeber if the wine/port tasting took place between the first > two > > shots ;-) > > > > May all be viewed large > > > > Amities > > Philippe > > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information >
