Same experience here... the 2 toughest lenses to focus, the Noctilux and the
75 Summilux are pretty trivial to focus with really good accuracy compared
to the M RF.

Looking directly at the output of the sensor, and having focus
magnification, makes it possible.

Some may like using the focus assist option, which does not work for my
brain....YMMV

Now, if at Photokina, Leica introduces an M compatible with these features,
I may be in real trouble...... ( The Sony A7, which I own, does not do well
with my favorite WA lenses....The word is that the SL acts the same... )

What I want is ... using my existing Leica M Glass.... no new glass,,,,,
Good results with the WA lenses
EVF focusing with magnification

I find that focussing of the Noctilux or a Summilux 75mm f 1.4 on a Sony A7
series or a Fuji X using live view is far easier and more accurate than on a
leica body using traditional mechanical focussing.
