Hi Rei, best of luck to you whatever you decide. I have no medical
opinions, but my eyesight definitely isn't what it used to be either.

I mostly use the 4x5 now because I am doing personal projects, but when I
use my Leica, basically, I am focusing by "best estimate" - that is, a lot
of time I do not see a perfect aligned image any more, but it's still easy
to say "OK, this is clearly really off, and if I crank this way it is also
clearly off, therefore, while somewhere in the middle here looks bad to me
still, it must be the in-focus because it is the best of the bad"

And usually I still nail focus that way, even at 1.4

Good luck
