I do talk to them, but is mainly to put them at ease, and make them relax a bit. There is no back story - if these daily wage guys do not get work any day, they do not eat that day, it is as simple as that. Life for them is truly a daily struggle, to the extent that it is difficult for all of us to truly comprehend. Whenever I photograph people in this economic strata, I usually give them enough money for a couple of meals after I photograph them. They never ask, mind you, but I give it to them nevertheless.
