I had quite a pile, two in fact, kept in a cupboard and under the bed until my latest house move, then I decide the M9 box, the Canon lens boxes, and all the et ceteras were for things I"m not going to sell, and are way past their warranties. The TAN was the one thing I forgot about needing, but Leica office folks sent me a cheery and courteous email reminder, so it al worked out. All the best, Peter Ha, you should see the pile of empty boxes I have had transported half way around the world ;-) john -----Original Message----- Thank you, John, It seems that the TAN number is not retained on the Leica Owner's Area website, it just kept my serial number and date of purchase. I've sent an email to Leica giving those two detils and asking if they can kindly send a viable TAN number, as I no longer have my warranty card. I only through it away a fortnight ago, thinking that because it'S 5 years since I bought the camera, the warranty is sure to be out of date, and that I therefore no longer need it. I was wrong about no longer needing it! All the best, Peter
