I downloaded the latest security update to my iMac last night and had 
tremendous problems getting it restarted. All is well now thanks to Apple 
Support, but be careful. Second warning - to get Apple Support you need the 
Serial Number of your machine, which if your machine isn?t working is a pain 
in the proverbial. Make a note of it somewhere safe.
