I have used the plastic binder method with:

silver [darkroom] double weight paper
silver RC paper
and
various inkjet papers
over the decades.

I?ve use paper covers,
hard cloth covered book board covers
art paper covers

The bindings are also very easy to ?revise?
add to or remove from;
as well as enlarge with larger diameter binders
