I have traveled to 67 countries, many in the Middle East, carrying only
Leicas and have never had a problem. I would not even consider going on a
photography trip and not carrying my Leicas. I might as well stay home!
All of my Leicas are beat-up and brassed and most have the Leica
identification covered. My new M260 will be here this week and by the time
I leave in March, it will be well-used looking! They know that I am a
photojournalist. That information is on my visa application.
