Beautiful. Stationed there briefly late 70s,
it is a place to behold.

>I am posting this from a hotel near Glasgow airport from where I will fly
>home tomorrow morning after spending several days here, attending a
>conference. But today was a day off, and I rented a car and drove north
>along the western shore of Loch Lomond and then up to Oban, before
>returning to Glasgow, a trip of around 200 miles amid some of the most
>beautiful scenery I have ever seen. And I do not say such things lightly. I
>travel a lot and have seen many beautiful places, but Scotland is really
>something else. After today, I understand much better the pride and love
>for their country that I sense in my Scottish colleagues back in Alicante.
>Here are four initial snaps, just a small sample of what I saw today.
