Is it a 'quality' monitor? The cheaper ones do not do well for photos

I was able to pick up a 27" 1920x1080 monitor for my LR work and I'm
disappointed to see that, even though LR easily enlarges to the whole
screen, the high pixel count images I'm getting from my digital cameras
don't look very sharp. They look great on my laptop's 15.5" 3200x1800, but
the small screen size causes eye strain.

What are LUG members using?
