[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]I would imagine that the image circle of the lenses and mount probably are optimised for a sensor about the same size as the existing one :) A panoramic sensor with the same diagonal would sneak the odd extra mm but designing and making a one off sensor would cost gazzilions and so my guess is that the -only- way they could sensibly make a panoramic S2 would be to mask off part of the sensor. I agree, cropping to suit looks like a better option, though not one that allows press releases about specials for a famous photographer?
