A bit different to the usual "rock stars with needles" imagery that we expect! It?s one of those ?send a letter back in time to your 12 year old self because he?ll never believe it? moments but ?Geek Knits?, a collection of nerdy knitting projects modeled by geek celebrities, written by Joan of Dark, climbed to #1 yesterday, beating out ?cats in hats? and ?star wars crochet?. Likely this moment at the top won?t last long but it?s been an interesting ride. Here?s a behind the scenes video of one of the photo shoots, Rodney Anonymous from the punk rock band The Dead Milkmen modeling a pair of striped socks in a duel. A duel, like a pistol duel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eoW4J6L8Qo The book is here, if you know any knitters, especially ones who like Star Trek and NPR. http://www.amazon.com/Geek-Knits-Projects-Fanatics-Knitting/dp/125005138X I?ll post some photos from the book over the next few days. I really have the LUG to thank for a lot of this. Without Brian, and Ted and BD and others, this probably wouldn?t have happened. Thanks guys.
