I don't think I was clear. I meant it was more difficult to separate camera
and leave tripod mount on the tripod, say for uploading files to check
something without moving the camera position. There is no difficulty in
removing the whole setup from tripod.

John, I've heard that about the multi function grip.
Why does the L Plate make removing the camera from the tripod more awkward?
I'm having trouble visualizing that.
