That is correct John,
Mothering Sunday is still the big thing here.

I don?t know in which country ?mother?s day? originated, but it is not 
celebrated here (by anybody I know).
Nevertheless I get a feeling of panic when people start talking about 
?Mother?s day? in case I have forgotten something...
