These cinematographers are strictly low-rent.  Respectable, skilled people,
yes.  But when you invite them to the Hamptons, they are first greeted by
the staff, not the hosts. You wanna *really* play "mine is bigger than
yours?"  Take a look at the price of world-class string instruments. The
cellist I photographed this weekend told us that the cello he uses is
insured for $3 million. It doesn't belong to him. It belongs to a
foundation.  They just let him use it.  (Then he showed us how he could
produce a lousy tone on it, despite the price tag).
