Finally I have some quiet weeks without travel and without visitors from
abroad, which allows me to work my way through the backlog of pictures from
recent weeks. I start with Riga, where I spent 3 days in late April. My
first visit to any of the three Baltic countries, a fascinating place with a
troubled history, including decades of Soviet occupation. Riga is a curious
blend of old and new, ugly and beautiful, but always interesting?and the
people are friendly, the beer is good and everything is cheap. Highly
recommended.

As always, comments and critique are welcome and appreciated.
