Subject: [Leica] Question about Leica R lenses......

If you turn the aperture ring of any R lens to F16: When the lens is NOT
mounted to the camera, and has no rear cap:

If you look into the lens, is the aperture small (F16 for example) or is it
large (F2, for example)?

Input from any lens focal length is appreciated. ( I am pretty sure they
all work the same way)
