Eh? You can use or not use any early version or the latest of Lightroom for
which you have a perpetual licence for as long as you want under the
licence conditions that have applied from the very first.

There is no obligation to move to the subscription model for Lightroom.
If you use both Lightroom and Photoshop in working with your images then
you can get that bundle if you want. Basically a 12 month commitment to
start.

For me, that deal is excellent value. So much so that I don't even use the
couple of perpetual licence models I have of both Lightroom and Photoshop.
I really like the integration and the immediate availability of the new
features

Obviously how much you use the programs will influence their value to you.
Or if you consider Adobe (and Microsoft I suppose) as devils incarnate
determined to feast on your soul!
