Thank you again, Geoff, for an extraordinary job. You've produced the
finest edition by far; your successor has quite a standard to match.

All best,

Subject: Re: [Leica] THE YEARBOOK

I have done my best to explain and respond on this off list, starting at
6am on Christmas day here where I got a request for an urgent response and
some comment that I found unreasonable. I have asked Roger to take any
further discussion on this onto the list now. If anyone else wants to
comment do please do so ON LIST too.

The price difference is USD 13.01 with the different paper choice. To the
best of my knowledge 'Premium lustre' is what Jim used previously before
as well.
I get nothing from the book whether there are 200 or five sold. The only
beneficiary is Project H.O.M.E., Jim's charity. Everyone is free to choose
whether they want to purchase it as always. I agree that the book is not
inexpensive and I made a $14.99 eBook option available. Actually if people
do not want to purchase the printed version in any version, you will be
making a larger donation to them by purchasing the eBook.

Blurb evidently pay any sales profit monthly. I have set that payment to
be in USD via Paypal which is the cheapest by far way of receiving any
profits on this. I shall transfer any payment made to me to Jim
immediately by that method too.

I did this to fulfill a promise I made to Brian and the list early in the
year. I think I did a good job for everyone and the reactions so far have
been almost uniformly positive except for this.

I will not be offering to edit any future version of the book for the list
should there be one.

Cheers
Geoff
