Good luck, Peter. I had a hernia operation 5 1/2 years ago, and it turned 
out to be a very healthy year, as I also quit smoking that year and embarked 
on a fitness regime that today has me at the same weight as when I was 20, 
and probably able to do things exercise-wise that I could not do back then. 
So hernia was good for me :-)
