Lluis:

Two years ago this spring, my daughter and I went to NYC for a photo trip
with a group of photographers. When I reviewed the photos upon returning
home at high magnification I noticed a thin red vertical line in all my
Photos. Some were worse than others. I called Leica in New Jersey and they
told me the sensor on my M9 likely needs to be remapped. That was completed
but I also noticed on the work order sent back that the sensor was noticed
as being loose and unmounted and that I must have dropped or knocked the
camera.
That really surprised me as being the original owner I knew that an incident
such as they described had never happened. The other thing was that I never
noticed any issues with the photos other than the red line. So I wondered if
the issue happened with shipping. I guess I will never know but Leica does
or should know it has happened before...at least to my camera.
