I am a frustrated painter - majored in Art and English at a time when Art
had nothing to do with photography and everything to do with painting,
which I could not do. Believe me, I tried. At the time, I "settled" for
photography but have come to appreciate it as its own art, neither better
nor worse than painting but a different and totally valid art that I now
love.
