I'm with Ted - I had tried the same crop last night here :-)

OTT I'd defocus the ships a bit (graduated tool) as if shot at 5.6 and  
I was there ;-) the diver would "stand" out even more as a result.

And to get back to Uncle Ted's precepts, bending your knees a little  
might have helped - I tried to adjust the "perspective" in LR but the  
photo no longer worked due to serious distortion, sigh.
