The weather the last few days was fairly cold and cloudy for here. My experience has always been the same as you. Flowers dead by late afternoon, but this bunch lasted three days, with these taken on the second day. Very strange. As I recall that cactus retains its blooms for about a day, the next they are gone. We had one in the yard in Arizona. It bloomed on my wife?s birthday. I snapped a few images before we drove down to Tucson for a baseball game but resolved to really work them the next morning when there was more time. But when I came out in the morning the flowers were just littler puddles laying over the cactus. I love the delicacy of the colors which you have rendered quite wonderfully. Thank you for sharing.
