Car designers coming on board to have a hand in camera design also happened
with Nikon. From the EM of 1979 through to the D800 Giugiaro and his company
has had input. Mind you, Giugiaro while principally a car designer has also
had a hand in designing a lot of other things, but then so has Audi design,
although they started later.
