And, in that, is precisely the thing to address a 
target group that is far removed from being Leicaphile.

Leicaphilia and the failure to treat it has often 
enough led to the pending demise of the company.

Leica listened to the SLR faction and almost dropped 
the M series - in contrast, Leica did not heed the 
pleas of the R-Leicaphiles, invested in the S, and went 
on to develop the digital M.
