Not just me but how many hundreds? thousands? of other devoted "LEICA SLR forever users?" Just cast aside when we kept them a float and championed their equipment time and time again for years! Flaunted our gear unmercifully when it was a big gaggle of shooters at the Olympics or other gatherings of that magnitude. Yes and held in awe by so many others using canikon. Or whatever? TODAY? Actually I'm glad I had the run with the best gear/glass of the time. But as I look back I'm sorry I didn't run with the CANON crowd in the beginning and stayed with them as they are and so is Nikon; putting out some absolutely amazing SLR gear. I'll not mention other manufactures only because I've never had experience with them. I suppose that's life in the real world of equipment development along with futuristic abilities of vision and their clients, customers. Yes Leica will always be remembered as "THE CAMERA TO OWN AND USE!" Certainly the M versions. Maybe they'll return to this position? That is if they remember, they must build them incredibly well and better than the competition! "BUT FAR MORE IMPORTANT?" AT A PRICE THEIR MOST VALUED CUSTOMERS CAN AFFORD!
