Ted, you seem to have hit the journalism of the 60's and 70's on the head.
I for one, see that it worked; At least to some degree. Some say it was a
catalyst to ending the insanity in South-East Asia. I'm not sure why it
(we) stopped. Were people worn out from the visual bombardment? Today I see
this journalism on the web, but not in print or TV. People ARE doing "the
work".  The "Battlespace Project" via Daylight Multimedia is 5 years old
now, but incredibly timely. You can still check it out here
