Firstly, sorry for the criticism.

If you are using Lightroom it may be an idea to go into LR prior to 
processing in SilverEfex and lightening the fcae, r working on the face with 
the adjustment brush BEFORE you go to SilverEfex. I often work with the 
adjustment brush either before or after the SilverEfex conversion as I find 
otherwise it can be a bit harsh in some areas.

Just an idea.
