Thanks to all who have replied. I have been reading through the comments on
B&H for the R3000 and while most everybody is happy with the quality of
printing, there are quite a few people who are not thrilled with the amount
of time an ink cartridge lasts. Some are talking about $10/8x10 print.
That is not acceptable. Anybody with this printer having excessive ink use?
That is one thing the R1800 does, too, is use ink pretty fast. I was able
to cut down on it by leaving the printer on all the time, except when we
leave on a long trip. When you turn it on or off, it sees to cycle through
some sort of cleaning procedure, so by leaving it on, it does not do that.
If the 3000 is going to cost that much to use, I will pass.

I was wondering if anyone is using the Epson R3000. I am thinking of moving
up from my R1800. The reviews of the R3000 are pretty good. And I like the
Idea of multiple B&W cartridges and that you do not have to swap them out
and waste all that ink.

How are the B&W images? I assume the color is as good or better (most
likely) than my R1800.
